The Amgen Scholarship Program

The Amgen Scholarship Program offers up to 20 undergraduate students from all over the world the opportunity to work for 10 weeks in laboratories at the life science Grosshadern-Martinsried campus. The students are involved in hands-on research guided by leading scientists and their teams, using state-of-the-art methods and addressing the latest scientific topics within the fields of biochemistry, structural-, molecular-, cell- and developmental biology. On July 6, 2018 the students were given a guided tour through the IZB to get information about the location and the start-ups based there. Mikkel Noerholm, Vice President, Head of European Operations of the Exosome Diagnostics GmbH gave an inside into the research of the company, which was sold for up to $575 to Bio-Techne at the end of June 2018.
