The two-year full-time training period teaches practical and theoretical skills that are required for working in modern biology, e.g. performing molecular biology experiments, handling tissue culture, working with microorganisms, etc.<br \/>\nThe training ends with the state-certified Biological Technical Assistant examination. After one year of vocational training, it is possible to pursue further training as a state-approved chemical technician.<\/p>\n<p>im Dialog: <strong>Where does the training take place<\/strong>?<br \/>\nDr. Stach: The training to become a BTA mainly takes place in our teaching facilities at the Innovation and Start-up Center for Biotechnology (IZB).
