ChromoTek and Proteintech win CiteAb Award 2022<\/h1>\n

[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner el_class=”gco-magazine-container–copy” css=”.vc_custom_1591795890737{margin-top: 21px !important;}”][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]The eighth annual awards by CiteAb, a leading database for life-sciences reagents, honor biotechnology companies that have made outstanding contributions to the field of research reagents in the previous year. Not one but two of the 14 categories in the CiteAb Awards 2022 went to the Proteintech Group. The awards were handed out in person at the ACCR in New Orleans on April 11, 2022.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A path to greater sustainability
\n<\/strong>This year\u2019s \u201cEnvironmental Initiative of the Year\u201d award honors ChromoTek for its use of sustainable packaging materials. Instead of plastic boxes, reagents are wrapped in cardboard boxes made from recycled paper and grass fiber. Styrofoam insulation is replaced with hemp elements produced in a CO2-neutral manner in Europe. Both types of packaging are compostable or can be recycled. \u201cBy changing to sustainable materials, we want to make a valuable step towards reducing the amount of laboratory waste generated worldwide. The award and the positive feedback from our customers support this decision and encourage us to continue our chosen path towards sustainability and innovation,\u201d says Dr. Katrin Schmidthals, founder of ChromoTek, which has been part of the Proteintech Group since October 2020.<\/p>\n

Complementing the category award, ChromoTek receives a certificate as well as a piece of land with trees in cooperation with Co-Forest.<\/p>\n

Awarded by the customer
\n<\/strong>The Proteintech Group is also pleased to receive the \u201cResearchers\u2019 Choice\u201d award. This is the only award category in which the public decides the winner. It is therefore all the more rewarding that Proteintech Group is able to sustainably convince its customers with its products and customer service. The award citation states that \u201cProteintech offers a fantastic range of high-quality antibodies, both polyclonal, monoclonal and conjugated,\u201d and \u201cthe technical staff are quick to respond to queries regarding their products and give useful advice to help troubleshoot any issues.\u201d In addition, Proteintech\u2019s support of young researchers is acknowledged.<\/p>\n
