ICE, IC or EC. Hourly trains to Munich Main Station (Hauptbahnhof). With every "S-Bahn" (regional train) in the direction Marienplatz / Ostbahnhof travel 2 stops to Marienplatz, change to the "U-Bahn" (subway) line 6 as far as "Klinikum Großhardern", change to the Bus number 266 and travel to the stop "IZB" not longer "Max-Planck-Institut".
